Endangered Species Essay

Human and animals live in the planet, so as human have rights and protection animals should have protection too and we have no right to harm and haunt them without a good reason.  There are three reasons why should animals be protected from humans.

            First reason is, to keep the ecosystem balance in healthy situation. For example, wildlife controls the rate and extent by which nutrients are being distributed in an ecosystem. Animals scatter their manure or excretion in different places and make the soil fertile. Also, the food chain will lose a part of it, then animals will eat each other in a non normal way. In addition, bees, bats, among other animals help plants become productive by serving as agents of pollination. In short, we have to protect the animal to not lose the balance of ecosystem.

            Second, animals are important for humans in many fields such as medicine and food. For instance, people can get enough proteins and minerals from animals (fish, shrimp, and lam) but they have to respect the reproduction season. Also, marine life like fishes, shells, among others support human population in the highly natural resource dependent countries of the world. In addition, squalene in sharks, for example is a remarkable nutrient that can help prevent cancer. In conclusion, animals can be big source for food and medicine that human can`t live without them.

            Finally, society can be affected if any species extinct. For instance, special animal can be an icon for certain country like Kangaroo that is a sign for Australia. Also, the future generations will not allow enjoying the experience seeing and discovering the unique animals. In addition, the researches will not be able to explore the benefits that can be getting from animals. In the end, animals can be a good income and a special icon for the country.

            In summary, most of people think that there is an abundance of wildlife species in the world, but the truth is their numbers are decreasing so; people have to protect the animals to not become endangered and extinct.
